Winner of CIF Students Fellowship Program for 2013-2014

Ana Petriashvili became the winner of Curatio International Foundation Fellowship program for 2013- 2014. As the winner of the previous year, she too is the Master program student of International Public Health Department of Tbilisi State Medical University. Ana is socially active person, volunteer and enthusiastic. In the future, she plans to focus her strengths on mental health field. Her study will be dedicated to that issue as well:

‘In the framework of my study, I plan to look at difference between community services of mental health compared with existing ambulatory services. I will explore its social functioning as well as cost-effectiveness’- Ana says.

Ana has been working as a volunteer at the Transfiguration Mercy Center, taking care for patients under palliative care. In 2011, in the capacity of volunteer she joined the US NGO People Encouraging People (PEP) based in Mariland, USA.

As she says, the after becoming the winner of CIF fellowship program she feels herself more important and full of enthusiasm to dedicate herself to the chosen field:

‘Being the fellow of CIF is a huge responsibility for me.This is for my first time to participate in the contest and an incredible thing happened- I won. This achievement is the biggest intensive for me to channel all my resources and commitment to public health sector. I am happy to have an opportunity to get exposed to the experience and knowledge of CIF experts. This scholarship will enable me to produce high quality study I plan to conduct’- Ana says.
