Maia Uchaneishvili
PMC – Research Unit Director

Maia Uchaneishvili has over 15 years of experience in the health sector, specializing in
project management and health systems research. She joined Curatio International
Foundation (CIF) in 2011 and has been serving as the Executive Director since 2024. In

her current role, Maia is responsible for planning, implementing, and concluding all
ongoing research programs and projects within the organization.
In addition to her executive duties, Maia is actively engaged in fundraising by identifying
new business opportunities and developing proposals.

She prepares quarterly and annual reports on the organization’s progress and evaluates various success indicators.
Maia also plays a crucial role in budgeting for both projects and the organization overall,
as well as leading recruitment processes.

She has substantial experience managing multi-country projects,
Maia contributes significantly to the strategic development and implementation of CIF’s
vision.

She is a certified master’s in project management, having graduated from a dual
program at The George Washington University and Free University. As a researcher,
Maia has experience in qualitative research, including data collection, literature review,
data analysis, and report development. She has also contributed as a co-author to
several scientific articles published in peer-reviewed journals.
