Duration
May 2025 – October 2025
Introduction and Overview
The project aims to support the Government of Uzbekistan in developing a comprehensive investment case to ensure the long-term sustainability and impact of the Universal Progressive Home Visiting (UPHV) program. This initiative focuses on creating an evidence-based framework for securing adequate and sustainable financing, enabling the gradual expansion of home visiting services for pregnant women and children aged 0–5 years. It also explores the potential for establishing a case referral mechanism to connect primary health care providers with social workers at community and district levels.
Organizations Involved
The project is funded by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) office in Uzbekistan.
The Project will be implemented by Curatio International Foundation (CIF) in partnership with Consulting Group Curatio (CGC).
Project Outcome
The project is expected to provide government counterparts and stakeholders with clear policy recommendations for long-term financial sustainability and help align UPHV financing strategies with national public finance and health priorities. By enhancing financial resilience, efficiency, and effectiveness, the project aims to ensure continued access to high-quality home visiting services, particularly for vulnerable populations.
