Project and Program Evaluation

CIF has implemented numerous studies to evaluate the effectiveness, efficiency andsustainability of donor funded programs.

We are currently working with the Global Fund on both programmatic and financial sustainability with Global Fund support in Croatia, Georgia, Ukraine, Belarus and Bulgaria.

Most recently CIF implemented an evaluation of UNICEF’s contribution in five CEE/CIS countries (Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova and Serbia) to reduce and close the inequity gap in under-5 and infant mortality and morbidity. The results of this evaluationwill contribute to the “global platform of learning” by applying the most feasible, effective and efficient approaches to equity-based and evidence-informed planning for maternal and child health.

In 2014 Curatio International Foundation conducted a final evaluation of Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI)support in Bosnia and Herzegovina .Itassessed the programs supported by GAVI  andanalyzed their sustainability, and then results after funding ended.  CIF also identified what makes achievements long-lasting and documented the lessons learned with recommendations.  We believe this will contribute to GAVI policiesin future.

In August 2014, CIF evaluated GAVI support to strengthening the Tajikistan’s health system and provided proof of the extent to which this support achieved its objectives.  The evaluation identified successes, key challenges and lessons learned so that the GAVI Alliance can develop more adapted design and implementation of future HSS support to Tajikistan and other countries.
