Project on “Technical Assistance Using Modern Technology for TB Prevention, Diagnosis, and Increased Quality Treatment” was closed

On December 20, 2019, Curatio International Foundation held closure event of the project: “Technical Assistance Using Modern Technology for TB Prevention, Diagnosis, and Increased Quality Treatment”. The project is financed by the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health.

The event aimed to represent the project activities and results to a wider audience.

The following topics were discussed during the event:

  • GeneXpert technology-based FAST Strategy Implementation and Further Expansion Support Project Monitoring Report
  • Guideline for the Investigation of Index Patient’s Contacts with Infectious Tuberculosis
  • Basic principles of managing the electronic surveillance registry for TB medical workers in high-risk institutions
  • Agreed on TB state program, reflecting the proposed funding model

The discussion was attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia, Ministry of Finance of Georgia, National Center for Disease Control and Public Health, National Center for Tuberculosis and Lung Disease and Curatio International Foundation.
