We are pleased to announce that The Sixth Global Symposium on Health Systems Research (HSR2020) has opened

We are pleased to announce that The Sixth Global Symposium on Health Systems Research (HSR2020) has opened. Curatio International Foundation has performed as a secretariat of Health Systems Global and organizer of Global Symposium on Health Systems Research for five years, since 2015. The CIF’s performance as an HSG secretariat has come to its end with the delivery of The Sixth Global Symposium on Health Systems Research. Once the Symposium is closed the secretariat will be handed to the Canadian Society of International Health.

In light of the current global pandemic of novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and following much careful consideration, the Board of Health Systems Global through the consultations process with its membership redesigned the 2020 conference program to be conducted fully virtual to ensure that the voices of young professionals continue to be heard.

The Sixth Global Symposium on Health Systems Research (HSR2020) brings together over 2,000  researchers, policymakers, and practitioners from more than 100 countries in a global virtual Symposium, taking place in three phases :

  • Phase One – from 8 – 12 November 2020 – features live and on-demand sessions, including plenaries, parallel sessions, skills-building sessions, special panels, and virtual networking.
  • Phase Two – from 25 November 2020 – March 2021 – will consist of fortnightly parallel sessions to promote and facilitate exchange and community building around the HSR2020 sub-themes.
  • Phase Three – a culminating event to synthesize the main learnings from HSR2020 will take place in March 2021. This will be by invitation only.

We are proud of being part of the HSG community and contributing to the overall vision of globally connected health systems research and policy communities to attain better health, equity, and well-being. We declare our continuous support towards the Health System Global.
