On Tuesday, November 19th; 8:00 am to 12:30 pm – Satellite Session – Transforming Health Systems for Coordinated and Holistic Care: the case for integrating rehabilitation

About the session: As populations age and chronic conditions rise, there is a growing need to move from health systems focusing on specific conditions to those providing holistic, coordinated care at the individual level. This session will present empirical work on integrating rehabilitation into health systems, using case studies to highlight priority areas for advancing this transition. Through a moderated roundtable, participants will explore priorities for policy, research, and practice in three areas: capacity building, developing a learning agenda, and embedding systems and implementation research. These discussions aim to identify actionable steps for scaling innovative solutions to improve coordinated, patient-centered care.

Featuring CIF team members:

Prof. George Gotsadze – President of CIF will be an honored panelist and will contribute to discussion about Interdisciplinary Care Coordination and Workforce Development, Data Systems and Technology for Rehabilitation Integration, Policy and Governance Challenges and Health Financing and Sustainability Models for Rehabilitation Services.

On Tuesday, November 19th; 8:00 am to 12:30 pm – Satellite Session – Perilous or productive? How to effectively govern the private sector to accelerate progress towards UHC and health security

About the session: This session explores how governments can enhance the contribution of private healthcare actors to UHC and health security while curtailing potential risks. We will present the state of the evidence base, drawing on a comprehensive scoping review of approaches to the governance of the private sector. This review has been used to develop a Progression Pathway for the Governance of Mixed Health Systems, which provides countries with clear guidance on managing private sector contributions effectively. Through an interactive workshop, participants will apply the Progression Pathway to country scenarios, contributing to the tool’s evolution and shaping the future research agenda in this critical area.

Featuring CIF team members:

Mrs. Maia Uchaneishvili – Director of CIF will be a panelist and will contribute to discussion about most suitable research methods for Progression Pathway application and potential ways for taking the PP framework forward.

On Wednesday November 20th; 8:00 am to 9:30 am – Session- Digital Health Innovation: Governance, Systems Integration, and Global Best Practices

Prof. George Gotsadze – President of CIF will be having an oral presentation on Advancing Governance in Low-Middle-Income Countries for Digital Transformation in Health: Insights from Georgia’s Experience.
